Bubbly and Brunch at the Marcliffe

During the gorgeous weather we had in May we were able to have lunch on the patio at the Marcliffe! I really enjoy having lunch there as it is right next to the boy's school and it is such a lovely atmosphere with good food and champagne!!  I will miss lunches with these other Mom's from the ISA...clockwise...

Quick Last Minute Trip To Houston

On Saturday, May 12 we decided to make a quick trip to Houston for some house hunting as we just found out we would be moving back in the summer! It was a quick trip, but we managed to see our Moms for Mother's Day and found a house in Greatwood (Sugar Land, TX). We met up with family and a few friends, but it was definitely a quick trip with not much time to catch up. It was great to see everyone! We accomplished quite a bit and left on Thursday, May 17. It was nice to feel some Texas heat and eat at some Mexican food and at a nice Steakhouse!! Now off to prepare for our move back in July!!

Tapas, Sangria and Wine in MADRID, SPAIN

I just came back from a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) in Madrid with 16 awesome ladies from the American Woman's Group here. Madrid is the capital of Spain and is the largest city in Spain. We had a wonderful time seeing all of the wonderful monuments and sights such as the Royal Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the Almudena Cathedral and Puerta del Sol. We visited The Prado Museum, which holds Diego Velazquez's Las Meninas and Francisco de Goya's La maja vestida and La maja desnuda. In the Prado is the best collection of artworks by Goya, Velazquez, El Greco, Rubens, Titian, Hieronymus Bosch, Jose de Ribera and more. We also visited The Reina Sofia Museum, where Pablo Picasso's Guernica is located.

During our trip we went on a tapas and wine tour, we took the hop on hop off bus, ate at the world's oldest restaurant in the Guinness Book of World Records dating from 1725 (Botin), saw the Real Madrid Stadium, ate Chocolate con churros at the Chocolateria de San Gines Restaurant (established in 1894),  visited the Rastro flea market, watched Flamenco at the Corral de la Moreria...awesome...and did more shopping! We also enjoyed many many tapas, sangria and wine!
