Swimming

The boys have been enjoying swim lessons at Houston Swim Club. Trent has been swimming for about 1.5 years and recently was promoted to Dolphin Class (2nd level) and Landon is a Goldfish (1st level). This means that Trent is beginning to focus more on learning strokes in the water and Landon is beginning to get more confident floating on his back. They really love to be in the water and enjoy their swim instructors.

Fun Run!

On Saturday Trent and Landon participated in their first 25 yard run for ages 2-4 at St. Laurence Church. They had so much fun stretching to prepare for the race, lining up to start the race and running to the finish line. They both received metals at the end and were so excited! Here are a few pics...

Boys Being Boys

This weekend we headed to a family reunion at Providence City for Jon's extended family (more pics to come later). We had a great time meeting with and visiting with extended family from Arkansas and around El Campo, TX. We even spent some time at the farm house in El Campo...here are a few pictures of the boys having fun on their ride ons.

Mardi Gras Parade

Trent and Landon's preschool had a Mardi Gras parade and Mommy decorated a wagon for the boys to ride in during the parade. They enjoyed throwing beads to their friends and seeing all the other wagon "floats".

A Few Friends, A Few Cheers...Happy New Years!

Last minute we thought we'd have a few people over for New Years and celebrate at home with the kids. After plenty of food, cheers, confetti fireworks, silly string, noisemakers, a "Balloon Drop" and to top it off with sparklers and fireworks, we rang in the new year! And Yes, we all made it to 12 am!

Winter Day at the Bay

We usually take a trip down to Port O'Connor the week after Christmas but since Jon had to work that week this year, we decided to head down there for a couple days after Christmas Day. The boys have been begging to go to the bay house and do some fishing and go for a boat ride. They do not care if its cold, or whether they catch a fish or not, they just love to go! And boy was it COLD!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

A little Christmas here, a little Christmas there! On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we celebrated Jesus' birth and spread Christmas cheer by visiting all of our families. I love being able to see all of our family at Christmas, and even though we are so tired after our long days, it is definately worth it! We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with my brothers and sisters and visited some of Jon and my grandparents that morning. We went to Christmas Eve service at my hometown church, St. Philip Catholic Church in El Campo, which is always such a beautiful service! From there we went to have a Christmas dinner at Perry's in Sugar Land. A late night but the boys came home, spread reindeer food out in the backyard, left cookies and milk out for Santa Claus, fell asleep pretty quickly... and we had time to get ready for Santa Claus to come to our house!

The next morning Trent came running downstairs to wake us up at 8:30...."Mommy, Daddy, Santa Claus came here, come look..." He was full of excitement and Jon and I made the comment we wished we could have seen his face as he came running down the stairs. We went to get Landon up and he was smiling as he walked by the tree. Santa Claus was very good to the boys, he brought them a 4-wheeler ride on, Landon a bike, Trent a scooter and many other toys. After spending some time opening presents and playing with new toys, we headed over to Jon's parents to visit his brothers, sister in law, and cousins. Its the most wonderful time of the year!
